What is EPA RRP?

RRP stands for Renovation, Repair, and Painting. The EPA's RRP Rule requires that any contractor performing renovation, repair, or painting work in a home built before 1978 must be certified in lead-safe work practices — or they're breaking federal law.

This rule exists because lead paint disturbed during renovation can create dust that is extremely hazardous, especially for children under 6 and pregnant women.
